PASI 2013 – Forming Teams  Principles of Team-Based Learning  Each team mixes capabilities, assigned.  Teams stay together whole workshop: my lectures; and all fieldwork, processing, presentations.  No peer evaluation here; if problems talk to organizers.

PASI 2013 – Forming Teams  Improves retention, average performance, diversity.  May prevent deep thinking, high performance by individuals, discourage innovation.  Used extensively in medicine, engineering: Fields that assess individuals with licensing exams. PASI 2013 – Forming Teams  Objective: each team has a diverse range of abilities and experience.  First we will identify what categories of capability and experience we have here.  Each group gets up and joins the line from left to right at the back of the room.  Once you are in line, please stay in order.  Will form the teams now, in ability order…
