Stick to it! Persevering in task through to completion; remaining focused. Looking for ways to reach your goal when stuck. Not giving up. I WILL TRY AND DO MORE BETTER WORK AND TRY HARDER AND ALSO TO KEEP ON DOING MY WORK WITHOUT GIVING UP SO EASILY AND TO SUSTAIN THROUGHOUT MY WORK. ALSO TRY AND PERSIST THROUGHOUT MY WORK.

Take your Time! Thinking before acting; remaining calm, thoughtful and deliberative. I WILL TRY AND STOP TALKING THROUGHOUT CLASS AND TO MANAGE MY IMPULSIVITY AS WELL THROUGHOUT ALL MY WORK WHICH MEANS I WILL HAVE TO KEEP MYSELF BUSY AND TRY NOT DISTURBS ANYONE.

Understand Others! Devoting mental energy to another person's thoughts and ideas; Make an effort to perceive another's point of view and emotions I WILL TRY AND THINK OF WHAT OTHERS MAY FEEL WITH WHAT I AM DOING BEFORE I DO ANYTHING ELSE AND WILL TRY AND FEEL WHAT OTHERS FEEL WHEN THEY ARE TROUBLED OR WHEN SOMETHING GOOD HAPPENS TO THEM.

Look at it Another Way! Being able to change perspectives, generate alternatives, consider options I WILL TRY AND DO THINGS DIFFERENTLY SO NO WAY IS THE SAME SO THAT WHENEVER I CHECK MY WORK THE ANSWER WILL ALWAYS BE RIGHT.

Know your knowing! Being aware of your own thoughts, strategies, feelings and actions and their effects on others. I WILL TRY AND THINK BEFORE I ACT SO THAT I MAY BE ABLE TO AVOID ANY UNNECESSARY OR AWKWARD MOMENTS THAT ARE WAITING TO HAPPEN.

Check it again! Always doing your best. Setting high standards. Checking and finding ways to improve constantly. N EXT TERM I WILL TRY AND SET HIGHER STANDARDS FOR MY WORK IN MATHS, READING, WRITTEN LANGUAGE, SCIENCE AND OTHERS AS WELL SO I CAN HAVE A BETTER LEARNING ABILITY

Use what you Learn! Accessing prior knowledge; transferring knowledge beyond the situation in which it was learned. I WILL TRY AND USE WHAT I’ VE LEARNT THIS TERM AND LAST YEAR AND USE THOSE IN NEXT TERMS WORK.

How do you know? Having a questioning attitude; knowing what data are needed and developing questioning strategies to produce those data. Finding problems to solve N EXT TERM I WILL TRY AND QUESTION PEOPLE BEFORE I ACT ON ANYTHING AND BEFORE I GET MYSELF INTO MORE TROUBLE.

Be clear! Striving for accurate communication in both written and oral form; avoiding over generalizations, distortions, deletions and exaggerations. I WILL TRY AND THINK BEFORE I SAY ANYTHING OR ACT ON ANYTHING THAT I MAY REGRET LATER AND BEFORE I DO SOMETHING WAY OVER MY LIMIT.

Use your natural pathways! Pay attention to the world around you Gather data through all the senses. taste, touch, smell, hearing and sight I WILL TRY AND DO AND USE ALL MY SENSES IN MY WORK AND THROUGH MY LESSONS SO I WILL BE ABLE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT EVERYTHING AROUND US.

Try a different way! Generating new and novel ideas, fluency, originality I WILL TRY AND MAKE IDEAS AND THINK MORE OUT OF THE BOX NEXT TERM SO THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO WORK MORE PROPERLY AND DO MORE WORK

Have fun figuring it out! Finding the world awesome, mysterious and being intrigued with phenomena and beauty. Being passionate. N EXT TERM I WILL TRY AND DO MORE ANSWERING AND ADDING TO OUR CLASS CONVERSATIONS TOGETHER.

Venture out! Being adventuresome; living on the edge of one's competence. Try new things constantly. N EXT TERM I WILL TRY AND TAKE MORE RISKS IN MY LEARNING AND OTHERS SO I CAN DO MORE LEARNING THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX.

Laugh a little! Finding the whimsical, incongruous and unexpected. Being able to laugh at oneself. I WON ’ T HAVE A PROBLEM DOING THAT BECAUSE IT IS ACTUALLY A HABIT OF MINE TO LAUGH AT MYSELF AND AT ANYTHING AND A HABIT THAT IS GETTING ON MY NERVES.

Work together! Being able to work in and learn from others in reciprocal situations. Team work. I ACTUALLY WORK BETTER IN TEAMS BECAUSE THEY HELP YOU AND THEY CAN HELP YOU WHEN YOU ARE MISTAKEN OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT BUT I WILL TRY AND WORK BETTER IN TEAMS AND OTHERS

Learn from experiences! Having humility and pride when admitting we don't know; resisting complacency. These phrasing were generated for use with Middle School students. Different teachers find it useful to rephrase using language most appropriate to stages of learning. I WILL TRY AND DO MORE AND LEARN MORE FROM MY EXPERIENCES AND USE NEXT TERM TO USE WHAT I HAVE LEARNT IN MY WORK AS WELL AS SCHOOL THINGS.
