A Feasibility Report

 Audience? UNT Students living on campus  Problem? New students to Denton, Texas, and the U.S. do not know what other dining options are available for a single patty burger, outside of campus dining halls.

 We tested six different drive thru burger locations in a 5 mile radius: McDonalds Whataburger Burger King Wendy’s Sonic Jack in the Box

 We used four criteria: Major Criteria  Speed of service  Number of toppings  Price  Overall taste Minor Criteria  With or without cheese

 Used two forms of research to gather information Field Research Online Research

 Speed of Service Field Researcher went to each establishment and timed the locations delivery of a single patty burger

 Number of toppings While at each restaurant, our Field Researcher gathered information on the number of toppings available After receiving the research our Online Researcher verified the toppings online

 Price Our Field Researcher gathered information on the price of a single patty burger and the cost for all additional toppings available

 Overall taste Overall taste was evaluated using an online survey via Facebook. We polled current UNT students living on campus to give us their preference on which location they prefer dining at based on taste.

 With or without cheese Cheese on a burger is a personal preference Our Field Researcher, while at each restaurant found out which burger locations offered cheese standard on their single patty burgers and which offered it for an additional charge.

 Overall Taste In a Facebook survey of 40 students who reside on UNT’s Denton campus, an overwhelming majority said that Whataburger makes the best tasting burger. A runner-up was Wendy’s, but Whataburger was the overwhelming leader in taste.

 Our Final Ranking 1. Wendy’s 2. Whataburger 3. McDonald’s 4. Burger King 5. Sonic 6. Jack in the Box

 Our Recommendation is: Wendy’s  Cheapest burger  Second in tasting survey  Second in speed of service Whataburger was a close second, but lost due to slower service.
