QUESTION 1 Question: What is Mars named after? Answer: Mars was named after the Greek Roman God of War. This is a picture of Mars (the red planet). This is a drawing of a Greek Roman warrior.

Question 2 Question: what are some similarities between mars and earth Answer: Mars and earth both have mountains and volcanoes, in fact Mars has the biggest mountain in the solar system named Olympus Mons. Another fact about Mars is that it has the same amount of land that Earth does because of Earths oceans and lakes. This is one of Mars's smaller mountains. This picture was taken by the Mars rover.

QUESTION 3 Question: What did the Mars Rover find out about Mars? Answer: The Mars Rover found out a lot about Mars, but one of the biggest discoveries it made was that Mars also has soil like Earth. This is a picture of the Mars Rover! Both Mars and Earth have soil.

Q QUESTION 4 Question: Is there ice on Mars? If so, which Rover found it. Answer: Yes, there is ice on Mars. It was discovered by the Phoenix Lander. This is a picture of the Phoenix Lander once it landed on Mars. The Phoenix Lander is one of two robots on Mars Scientist believe that the white at the top of Mars is in fact ice.

QUESTION 5 Question: What are the differences between Mars’ moon’s? Answer: The name of the moons on Mars are Phobos and Deimos. Phobos is the original longest living moon on Mars. Deimos came later and was actually a meteor flying really close to Mars. As it approached Mars, it is believed that Deimos was caught by Mars’ gravitational pull. Today Mars has two moons. This explains why Deimos is oddly shaped.

Pictures of Phobos and Deimos This is a picture of Phobos. This is a picture of Deimos.
