Preparation Center (Aldrich Style Snap) Read of the Team Morale Reed’s idea on getting fired. 31 – 19 and Team Party at Beach. Gave Center’s ball after game and emailed backs plays and shifts. Used plays and terminology similar to Double Wing from Dr. Keuffel.
Practice and Plays Explained to Center Plays Beginning with “B” Snap to QB all other plays snap to Tailback. Showed QB how to do basic spin. Showed Backs how we would shift from DW to SW. Rhino = Right Lion = Left Wingback problems Stressed the basic play was the same for lineman and backs. Taught offense that any plays with a “B” would be BOB blocked. Made sure centers got enough snaps.
Practice Observations Players adapted well and were enthused about the offense Coaches were pumped up about the power play. Short on players and helping dads were confused. Pulling lineman were actually fast. Ran Beast at the end of the last practice and had each player carry the ball.
