Vaccines and Autism Maggie Baker

Autism Wide spectrum of types Thought to be caused by environmental factors and/or genetics

Vaccines Created to prevent disease Measles, Polio, Small Pox, Rubella, Flu, Tetanus, Yellow Fever, Malaria No cases of small pox at all thanks to vaccines

The Issue Parents believe that vaccines are a main cause for Autism Theory started in the UK in 1998 Started by a study conducted by Dr. Andrew Wakefield.

The Experiment Dr. Andrew Wakefield 11 other scientists out of the 12 cases Claimed autism appeared “days after’ receiving the shot

Emotional Levels Parents don’t want their child to be the social outcast To expensive, don’t want it to happen Caring to much to listen to professionals.

Faulty Evidence No one can repeat the evidence The medical records did not match the told histories

Herd Immunity Destroying the herd immunity One child died of measles because of unvaccinated status Just because you are vaccinated, does not mean you protected!!

Professionals Ignoring the professionals Taking gossip column’s advice Always to talk to a doctor and other professionals before making assumptions

Court Ruling Issue taken to court Vaccine experts ruled No link between vaccines and Autism

Review To emotional Lack of scientific background Destroying Herd immunity Ignoring professionals and experts Court says no!
