Advanced vs. Regular The Advanced courses formerly known as Pre-AP will move at a faster pace and require more time spent in outside of class work, such as reading and writing.  Advanced English 10  Advanced Geometry  Advanced Algebra 2  Advanced Pre-Calculus  Advanced Chemistry Rest assured…our traditional classes are more than capable in equipping students for college-level work

AP = Advanced Placement  College-level courses taught at the high school.  In May, students will take the AP tests for potential college credits. Cost for each exam is approximately $90.  Scores range from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest). Check with your college/university to learn the score you must earn to receive credit.  Scores of 3 or better earn credit at all Ohio public colleges.  Weighted GPA if earn B- or above (5.0=A, 4.0=B) Benefits of AP

World Studies vs. AP World History Both World Studies and AP World History satisfy the graduation requirement for Social Studies AP World History is a college level course  Students who have performed well in Social Studies courses and want to be challenged more are welcome to enroll  This course requires additional reading, writing and in depth analysis of the text  This course will be weighted  Students will have the option to take the AP test in the spring  AP Scores range from 1-5. All public universities in Ohio will accept scores of 3, 4 or 5.
