What is the Big Deal? Today’s activity: Real-Life Webquest Waterfront trail from Pump House (east) to Smokestacks (west) 6 stops along the way Read about the history while you are standing in front of it

Essential Question What makes something historically significant? Consider: Why were artifacts from the Homestead Works left behind? Was there purpose? Are the efforts of historical societies and historians to preserve history sufficient? How do we connect historical significance of the past to our lives today? What is the best way to document history?

Performance Task Using Bloom’s highest level of cognitive taxonomy, create a product that showcases your group’s learning as related to the Essential Question. Incorporate text, video, audio, and/or still images into a format of your choosing.
