Amou is a young woman from Sudanese background. She has arrived on her own and her family is still in refugee camps in Kenya. She is 22 and lives by herself She has never lived in a city, but has caught on quickly working out public transport. She wants to learn how the system works. wants to keep improving her English and doesn’t know what work she wants to do. feel isolated and isn’t actively involved with the Sudanese community though she would like to be.

jayden dunn 7\10\2010 Mary has just moved to a new suburb and was a teacher for year. she is lonely and doesn’t know anyone in the local area She has health needs and wants to stay in touch with her children who live in another state but doesn’t know how to use a computer She is feeling depressed about her life and feels like there is no purpose in her life anymore. Everyone around her is young and participating in life and she feels invisible

He is hanging out at the youth centre and wants to learn but he doesn’t know what He loves music and singing and often sings at family events His mother is worried that he will never get a job because he didn’t finish school. He hasn’t told her that he can’t read or write and mask his literacy issue by getting himself taken out of school
