Lock and Key is a book about a young girl named Ruby. Ruby lived with her mother and sister, Cora. Cora left for college, but never kept in touch. Years later Ruby is abandoned by her mother, The drunk, and drug addict. And she just wants to be of legal age to be considered an adult. As Ruby is caught living alone, she gets sent away to live with her sister, and her sisters husband. She’s now in a private school, living in a big house. Ruby meets a young boy named Nate who lives next door, but there's just something about him that doesn’t seem right.
Lock and Key’s point of view is told by Ruby.
In Lock and Key there are quite a few conflicts. Ruby’s mother has a drinking/drug problem, and abandons her. Nate is being abused by his father. Cora cannot get through to Ruby. Ruby just wants to be left alone, back in that little yellow house.

What I liked about Lock and Key is how Sarah keeps you wanting to know more at the end of her chapters. Its like you never want to put the book down. This book really keeps you guessing, and there's always a twist. The Characters are all related in some way to all of her other books.
There's nothing really to not like about this book, besides the size. Its pretty big!
I recommend this book for all the girls who love a drama filled book, that keeps you guessing. With lots of love! (:
