In an increasingly interconnected world, we need to learn be able to engage in communication with people from a wide range of different cultures and traditions. This term we will be looking at racism through ‘Show racism the red card’. Creativity and a love of learning Through a creative curriculum each exciting term is aimed to inspire the children to LEARN, and most importantly... enjoy learning. The children will learn the skills, knowledge and processes that help them to become independent learners who are also able to collaborate effectively in problem solving situations. Skills for life During the year pupils will have opportunties to explore, imagine and create, while being equipped with many life skills. The aim is to inspire children and develop their imagination and practical skills. We will be looking at how we can improve and edit our own work and use peer assessment to help support one another. Children will continue to learn to a wide range of words and increase their fluency in reading and focus on understanding what they have read. We will be using the Lexia Reading programme to support reading and spelling. They will be consolidating grammatical terminolgy we have covered over the course of the year. They will continue to learn new spelling rules and consolidate previous spelling rules learnt through the year.
