The Importance of Insulation 50%+ carbon dioxide emissions = space heating 40% of energy savings in household sector 75% of savings in CERT 9m empty cavities 13m homes with inadequate loft insulation Complete all insulation in next 10 years Gordon Brown – Green Alliance 12 th March 2007

The Benefits of Insulation 40%+ heat lost through the roof and walls Insulation can reduce this by around 2/3rds Cavity Wall Insulation saves around £90 per year payback – less than 3 years Loft Insulation saves around £110 per year payback – less than 3 years
