How can I make my own Cornell Notes? Some classes have strict forms on which the notes should be taken In this class, draw a horizontal line across the top of the paper to cut off the topic and date. Draw a vertical line to split the Questions and Notes.

Why do we put in all the ID Information? Name/Class/Period: Helps to identify notes if they are lost. (You don’t need this if all your notes are in one composition book!) Date: Organizes all the notes in chronological order. Easy reference by students or teacher.

How can I use the summary? By the summary, you should be able to answer the topic question. If you are not able to do so, then there was a lack of communication at some point. You need to look at the notes of other, and come in and see me.
