“The miner exhibits no vital signs.” “The miner is dead.” Placard 21 – Miner #1 (Drift 4 outby CX1)

The team can converse with Miner #2. He is alone and feeling a bit light headed. The air inside the office is O.K., ground conditions are good, and there is a solid face behind him. The mine phone is broken, so he couldn’t call out to the surface. He states he had misplaced his self-rescuer. When the mine filled up with smoke, he made it to the office and closed the door. He doesn’t know what happened to the rest of his crew. No other information is available. Placard 31 – Miner #2 in Office (Drift 2 between CX1 and CX2)

The team can converse with Miners #3 and #4. The air inside the barricade is good, ground conditions are also good, and there is solid face behind them. They state that an LHD caught fire and the smoke was too thick to see. So, they barricaded themselves and waited for rescue. No other information is available. Placards 44 and 45 – Miners #3 and #4 inby Barricade (Drift 2 between CX2 and CX3)

“The miner exhibits no vital signs.” “The miner is dead.” Placard 50 – Miner #5 inby Loose Back (Drift 2 between CX3 and CX4)
