My Career Progression By Hussain Majeed

My Ambition Career The Career of my ambition is to be in the video editing industry, particularly having the role of a video documentary editor. What are some of the things I need to get in to this career: "a mixture of creative and practical skills a good sense of timing and visual awareness a high level of attention to detail excellent communication skills the ability to work as part of a team willingness to work long hours when necessary the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines patience and concentration good computer skills"

I have worked in documentaries, at my college-Researching about how documentaries work, such as how the writers write the narrative of the documentaries, the way the filmmakers film with the cameras, the way the editor edit the footage of the documentaries and so on. Furthermore I could also film with a professional camera and edit documentaries on particular editing software. Strengths Weakness Slow at researching information that are relating to the documentary. Slow at video editing the film footage of the documentaries that I have done in the past.

What will I need to do next I will need to be faster at researching information in the Internet. Improve my editing skills, one of the things I need to do is to be faster at the editing of the film footage that I have filmed or that is given to me. I will need to have the best qualification to have the role of a video editor in relation to documentaries. To do this I will need to be accepted in an excellent university, that will have the suitable course for my role.

Process of the UCAS application When I have filled my UCAS online application, I had to first fill my personal details, in the first category of the application...such as my name, gender, address and so on. Then in the same subject of the application there is section that was asking about reference numbers. The third section was asking about student support. Then the fourth section was enquiring if I wanted to receive furthermore information about courses or other products and services that I might need, that follows a series of questions, the Yes Or No type. The fifth section was questing about who would have a nominated access or simply who will deal with my funds of the university. The sixth section was requesting about if I had criminal conviction and is a Yes and No type again.

The Seventh section was questioning if I have any disabled/special needs that I might have. At first I had to choose a small category of conditions, that one or more are relating to the type of conditions I have. Then I had to give a brief, but detailed piece of writing to my conditions. I then moved on to the second category of the UCAS application, which called Additional Information, that is relating to my ethnic origin, religion and what is my National and Dual identity, meaning what type of passport I have and what identity I have. In the second and third section of this category, are both questioning if I participated to any activities to prepare myself for a higher education. The Fourth section is involving questions about if I have been in a care home, what is my parental education, what their occupational background and if I would like the information that I will receive in the future to be from the Welsh region. The fifth section is relating to my finance, that related to a small series of questions, which are the Yes and No type.

The sixth section was about myself to choosing 5 University options and as well as a course of my choice. After a long research and understanding I have chosen the best suitable universities, in my point of view and a course that I would like to study for my future. Also there was a question that was about if I would like to live at home or at the university campus. Which I answered I would like to live at home.

A more extended reasons as why I have chosen University Of Hertfordshire Birkbeck,University of London Brunel University London University Of Westminster University of the Arts London

This is because they are all based in London excluding University Of Hertfordshire which is based in Southern England. Furthermore their distances is not very far away from my house, as a result of this I would not have to travel for a long time to get there, as well as it is more convenient for me so I would not have to live in the university's campus. Additionally this is the course that I have chosen and applied to study at the university. Film and Television Production BA(Hons) Film and Media (BA) Film and Television Studies BA Film BA Honours (formerly Film and Television Production BA) BA (HONS) FILM AND TELEVISION

If I get accepted at the chosen universities I will have to concern of course choosing only one suitable university to go and study in. The seventh section is about adding the names of the schools and colleges, exam results, the courses names, their units and dates. The last section of the UCAS application is about my personal statement which I will be explaining about in the next slides. I have been communicating with some of the universities that I have chosen by registering in their websites I would get a course booklet from them and they answered me by an ...

My Personal Statement Also I have been contacting all 5 chosen universities by writing a personal statement to them.... I have written the personal statement to introduce to the 5 chosen universities to my love of working in the media industry, particularly in working as a video editor, as a video documentary editor and why I am interested in what I have chosen. What I would do if I work with a group of students at the college that I go to and I as well gave examples when these things happen. What types of projects I do at Stanmore College and what are the software that I have been using to make the projects. What are my hobbies and aspirations or in other words what I would like to do in my own time, I began to describe them.

What kind of work experiences and skills that I have done recently and in the past, at my college and outside of studying. As well as how am I in them. I have talked in a brief way about a personal project of mine. I named the places of the work experiences that I done and I extended my explanation relating to the type of work I have been working and what where the equipment and softwares I have used to produce the work. In the last paragraph of my personal statement, I have talked about how I feel excited to be studying in this course and I have stated of what types of good materials will be provided and how this will help me achieve future goals, as well as given examples of what where my future goals.

I have few websites and my university personal statement as an evidence of my work that I have done in the past, what I am doing right now and at will I do in the future. Portfolio ajeed44/ nmajeed44/videos My Websites…
