E RIC C ARLE An author and illustrator for children’s books. Raised and educated in Germany. Began as an illustrator and then later began to write his own stories. Uses collages in his art.

D ONALD C REWS An author and illustrator. Grew up on both a farm and in a big city. The farm and the big city are where his different styles of art come from. Was drafted into the army and sent to Germany for a few years.
