Celebrate Black History Month is a thematic unit developed to teach students about the history and culture of African Americans. Throughout the unit students will not only develop a knowledge of black history, but also empathy for African Americans. Menu Next Previous

Students will be able to recreate the persona of an influential African American and conduct an interview as that person. Students will be able to apply their understanding of different periods in African American History to the creation of projects based upon those periods of time. Students will analyze various works of art from throughout African American history. Menu Next Previous
