Renewable Energy Reduces Global Warming Barriers: A view from private sector in renewable energy-power sector Policy Barriers Limited and not integrated information and database causes impractical policy For example, open to purchase power without control of biomass feedstock and proper zoning Demand over supply, high chance of high price and shortage Tariff for SPP-RE does not reflect true cost for some biomass fuel Adder encourages smaller scale project rather than cleaner technology Technical Barriers Not enough support and no pool R&D for technology development Financial Barriers High perceived risk for RE power plant High price of debt financing
