Presentation transcript:

One day, my family and I went to a big amusement park with roller coasters and fun cartoon characters. I was so excited as I ran to the gates of the park and was determined that I would ride everything that day.

As we walked through the main entrance of the park, my eyes became wide and I couldn’t believe how tall the rides were.

I was only seven years old during this visit, but I felt that I was able to walk around on my own. Because we used to visit the park often, I knew where my favorite rides were and how to get to each one. I know this place!

But then my mom said to me, “stay close, I don’t want you to get lost ! ” But I wanted to explore, so when we were in a big crowd, I walked away from my family. Anthony, stay close! Nope

At first I was excited. It was my first time on my own and I felt grown up and independent. But then, as I was lost in a sea of people, that feeling of excitement faded fast. Finally on my own! OH NO!!

All of a sudden, I realized that I didn’t know the park as well as I thought I did, and I got really scared. I tried to work my way through the crowds, but it wasn’t working. What have I gotten myself into?

I started to shake and shiver. I was so scared. I didn’t know what to do, so I sat down on a bench a waited for something to happen.

“Why didn’t I listen to my parents?” I asked myself as I sat alone on the cold park bench. “I’ll never wander off I again” I promised. Why Don’t I Listen?

Real Ending: As I sat there, more and more people passed me by. I watched each person in the hopes that they knew where my family was. Soon I thought that no one would ever find me, but then something amazing happened. I saw my mother’s face and I was saved. It actually turns out that I was only missing for a minute or two but it felt like eternity. I was so happy to be back with my family again. Anthony, there you are! You scared me! MOM! I’m saved!! Promise me you’ll never wander away again! I promise! Lets go ride some rides!

Fantasy Ending: As I sat there, more and more people passed me by. I watched each person in the hopes that they knew where my family was. Soon I thought that no one would ever find me and I started to become upset, but then something amazing happened. I saw Superman’s face and I was saved. He flew around in the sky and found my parents for me. I was saved by one of my favorite superheroes. It was amazing!
