Can You find the Esses From the Beginning? One scorching summer day, my brother and I were walking down a long, dusty country road. “I bet I can beat you to that big Oak tree!” shouted my brother David. “It’s on!” I replied. Dust rose from the ground like clouds rising to the sky as we raced with all our might to reach the Oak tree. I barely beat David by a hair. “I let you win,” he murmured. I was expecting his comment. He always says that.

What’s the Big Moment and the Main Plot Events? As soon as I caught my breath from making David eat my dust, a bearded, gray haired genie appeared out of thin air. “Eeeeeeekkkk!” he said as he stood there in his shimmery silver outfit. He informed us that we were the first ones in over 300 years to touch the beautiful Oak tree, so we were to be granted with three wishes. David and I stood for a few seconds as flabbergasted as a bald-headed cow who had just won first place in a beauty pageant. “I should get all of the wishes, since I got to the tree first,” I demanded. David responded, “In your dreams, jelly bean!” We decided to each wish one thing for ourselves and then one thing for our family.

David went first. He wished for a million dollars and in no time flat, his pockets became filled with tons and tons of cash. I wished for and was granted $100,000 a year for the rest of my life. (By wishing for that, I knew that my life would be Easy Street!) For our family, we were granted an all expense paid vacation to Disney World any time we cared to go. As soon as we made our last wish, the silver genie disappeared like a suspicious speck of silvery silt.

What are the Ending Events? As soon as the genie was gone, David and I jumped around like kernels in a popcorn popper. Since David’s pockets were so full of cold, hard, heavy cash, I had to drag him down the dirt road by his ankles. Who ever would’ve thought this day would have turned out like this!
