Exhibit C Overview SB361 Funding Formula

Learning Objectives  Be able to locate the major components within Exhibit C  Understand that the exhibit calculates what a district could earn if it meets or exceeds it total funded FTES, not what it will earn.  Be able to successfully compare the sections of the SDCCCD Exhibit C to the SB361 overview outline in a previous presentation

Review of the Student Learning Outcomes - 1  Major components of Exhibit C:  Total Computational Revenue  Base  FTES  Basic Allocation, colleges and centers  Inflation Adjustment (COLA)  Student Access  Restoration  Growth  Sources  Property Taxes  Student Enrollment Fees  State General Fund  Education Protection Act (Prop. 39)

Review of the Student Learning Outcomes - 2  A very important take-away – Exhibit C calculates what a district is entitled to earn but only if it meets or exceeds its total funded level of FTES. No district is entitled to the TCR in the exhibit.  Now, can you cross reference the major components of SB361 with Exhibit C that implements the law? This is the end of this presentation
