Copyright © technoKrats Where would alien life exist? 1) Intelligent life might be found outside our solar system. There are 100,000,000 stars in the Milky Way and perhaps that many galaxies. Most stars probably have planets orbiting them. Trouble is, they are impossible to see. Possibilities on alien’s existence Scientists have found 300 planets around other stars. They can only indirectly detect really huge planets – bigger than Jupiter – by the effects these planets have on their stars. We don’t yet have telescopes sensitive enough to detect Earth- like planets around other stars, we just assume they are there, why wouldn’t they be.

Copyright © technoKrats Possibilities on alien’s existence 2) The temperature on a planet probably can’t be too cold because the chemical reactions in living things wouldn’t happen; if it’s too hot, any living things would burn. The temperature on a planet depends on the brightness of its star, and how far that planet is from it. In our solar system Venus is too hot and Mars too cold for life.

Advanced alien civilisations may have faster spacecraft but they too are stuck with the laws of physics – the closer you get to the speed of light the more enormous amounts on energy are required. You can’t go anywhere outside your own solar system because it’s just too far. Unless our knowledge of physics is wrong.

Ehman on August 15, 1977, while he was working on a SETI project at the Big Ear radio telescope of The Ohio State University, then located at Ohio Wesleyan University's Perkins Observatory in Delaware, Ohio.The signal bore the expected hallmarks of non-terrestrial and non-Solar System origin. It lasted for the full 72-second window that Big Ear was able to observe it, but has not been detected again. The signal has been the subject of significant media attention. Amazed at how closely the signal matched the expected signature of an interstellar signal in the antenna used, Ehman circled the signal on the computer printout and wrote the comment "Wow!" on its side.
