Windsock An instrument used to show the direction of wind and measure the speed

Thermometer An instrument used to measure how hot or cold something is

Barometer An instrument that measures air pressure

Weather Describes the condition of the atmosphere such as temperature, cloud cover, wind speed, and rainfall

Climate Average weather conditions of a region year after year

Precipitation Rain, snow, sleet, or hail that falls from the clouds in the sky

Trend Show an increasing number of events

Data Pieces of information

Humidity The amount of water vapor in the air

Typical Usual or average

Warm Front The location where a warm air mass is replacing a cooler air mass.

Cold Front The location where a cold air mass is replacing a warm air mass.

Air Pressure A force applied by the weight of air.

Global Warming A rise in the average temperatures of Earth’s air and oceans

Season Several months during the year that have similar temperatures
