Content Standard addressed is: –Earth Systems-Physical Systems Earth has three physically distinct spheres:atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere. Each sphere has a different composition and structure yet interfaces with each other. VI A 7 Students will need Science Journals

??????? ?????? ???????

Atmosphere Lithosphere Hydrosphere

Which sphere of the earth is missing in this picture? Write in your journal to tell why the monkey (and all living things) needs this sphere. What could happen to bring this sphere to him?

This is one way the monkey could benefit from the hydrosphere. He could also go to find it in a lake, an ocean, a river, or he could dig in the ground to make a well. Your answer should have included one or more of these places. End of Activity
