I am from Falls Church City, just outside of Washington, DC. I came to VCU for the art program which is highly ranked and inexpensive compared to other schools for art. I am really into photography, skateboarding, and riding my bike around the city.

At this point I would like to major in photography. Many people change their minds about their major choice during the Art Foundation year, but I feel pretty solid about what I want at the moment. My focus is mainly 35mm film photography. I also experiment with other films such as 120mm and polaroid occasionally. Film is much different and more unpredictable than digital photography, which I really like. I love looking at a roll of film that I just got developed and seeing how the colors and tones vary on each photograph.

I mainly shoot with a small point and shoot camera, but I sometimes use a larger SLR to get shots with manual focus. I really like photographs of the urban landscape and people/activities encompassed within that atmosphere.
