Presentation transcript:

Peer Review Protocol ●Create one to three focus questions about your own paper and write them on the handout that your partner will fill out. o Your focus questions should address whatever concerns you have about your writing and ideas. ●After writing down your focus questions, exchange handouts and read all of the questions carefully. ●Read your partner’s paper, twice if necessary, and complete the handout. ●Then discuss your responses to each other’s papers.

Things to Remember ●If you’re not honest, you’re not helping your partner. ●If you’re confused by a word or phrase or idea--tell your partner. ●Don’t let your own beliefs interfere with your critique of your partner’s argument and evidence. If there is a hole in the argument, discuss it. If the argument is solid, let your partner know. ●Do NOT be disrespectful… and do not take criticism personally.

MLA ●Center the title, but do not embolden, italicize, or enlarge the font ●Section titles should be aligned with the left-hand margin ●List your name, teacher’s name, course, and date in the upper left- hand corner of the first page ●Put your last name and the page number in the header of every page in the right-hand corner ●One space after each period ●Double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 pt. font
