22 M27 River Hamble Pollution Control Location Plan M4 Junctions 7 to 9 WB

33 R. Hamble: EC Freshwater Fisheries Directive (Salmonid), SAC (River), SINC (Banks), SSSI (300m north/1km south), Environment Protection Priorities for the Solent (2 out of 4), Solent European Marine Sites, Significant amenity use (3000+ vessels). Risk of pollution to the River Hamble from large spillage on highway. Currently no pollution control mechanism device between the highway drainage and the outfalls Flow control devices at both outfalls servicing the Hamble bridge including new infrastructure to convey flows from the network. New attenuation channel preceding the eastern outfall M27 River Hamble Pollution Control Issues and Recommendations

44 14 small bore outlets discharge directly from the bridge deck into the watercourse below and affects passing watercraft. Currently spillage packs for bridge outlets on site Decommissioning of existing outlets in Bridge decking. M27 River Hamble Pollution Control Issues and Recommendations
