Ecovillages and Entrepreneurship Ecovillages should act as models for possible futures of society Business will be part of the future society  Ecovillages should engage in developing the business models of the future

Supporting Entrepreneurship in Ecovillages Step 1: Incorporate green entrepreneurship within ecovillage values Step 2: Support entrepreneurship in ecovillages Step 3: Using ecovillage businesses to influence the public and guide potential transitions within wider society

Ecovillage Road ( A platform where ecovillages can offer their goods and services to the public – Income and publicity for ecovillages – Giving the public greater knowledge and access to ecovillages

Evaluation Ecovillage Road has achieved: – Fully working homepage, with low maintenance – Representative projects from all the partner countries – Included in Eurotopia – Prospects of post-project continuation through the Baltic Eecovillage Network (BEN)

Evaluation The Ecovillage Road has not yet achieved: – Enough projects and activity on the site Conclusions: – Too few ecovillages currently rely on on-site income generating activities (business).
