Always carry with 2 hands Only use lens paper for cleaning Do not let lens touch specimen or slide Do not force knobs

Eyepiece (Ocular Lens) Body Tube Revolving Nosepiece Arm Objective Lens Stage Stage Clips Coarse Adjustment Knob Fine Adjustment Knob Base Diaphragm Light Source

Place the slide on the microscope Use stage clips Start with the lowest setting Look into the eyepiece Use the coarse adjustment knob

Move the nosepiece to the medium objective Make sure objective will NOT touch slide Do NOT use the coarse adjustment knob Use the fine adjustment knob If you don’t see anything go back to low power and try again.

Move the nosepiece to the high objective Make sure objective will NOT touch slide Do NOT use the Coarse Adjustment Knob Use the Fine Adjustment Knob
