Always carry with 2 hands – one on the arm and the other on the base. Only use lens paper for cleaning Never use the coarse adjustment knob with the high power lens (you will break the lens) To store : 1. use low power 2. wrap the cord 3. cover the microscope Keep objects clear of the microscope, clear all desks before using.

Eyepiece Body Tube Revolving Nosepiece Arm Objective Lens Stage Stage Clips Coarse Focus Fine Focus Base Diaphragm Light

Place the Slide on the Microscope Use Stage Clips Click Nosepiece to the lowest (shortest) setting Look into the Eyepiece Use the Coarse Adjustment Knob to locate the item. Once you can see it the item, use the Fine Adjustment Knob to focus and make the image sharp.

Follow steps to focus using low power Click the nosepiece to the longest objective Do NOT use the Coarse Focusing Knob Use the Fine Focus Knob to bring the slide
