THE INSPIRATION The discovery of the motion picture all started when Eadweard Muybridge’s wife had an affair. Muybridge ended up killing the man and was acquitted for his actions. This allowed him to continue to develop an invention of putting motion on film, which started a motion picture industry.

MOTION PICTURE In the late 1800s, Muybridge helped the former governor of California win a bet. It was whether or not all four hooves of a horse picked up and hit the ground while running. In 1872, Muybridge began taking a sequence of pictures. He found out that the governor ended up being right. In 1879, Eadweard Muybridge found the Proven Theory.
