MICROCONTROLLER DETECTION SYSTEM Joshua Bosiljevac EKU
MOTIVATION ● Simple detection system you can place anywhere ● Continuation of a project from a previous class
PROBLEM STATEMENT You want to monitor the front or back door for whether an intruder has entered while you are busy upstairs You won't always be able to hear what is downstairs
Assumptions A few assumptions could be that you can mount it where it can not be disabled easily. You have a easily accessible power source for it to operate
PROPOSED SOLUTION Detecting a RFID for a door Switch detecting whether the door is open Determining whether it was open with or without a correct rfid
Result ● When an authorized rfid is scanned green LED is turned on ● When an unauthorized rfid is scanned red LED is turned on ● If the door is open without authorization the yellow LED is turned on ● If the door is left open for 5 seconds after authorized user scans it will turn on the yellow LED as well

10 CONCLUSIONS This is the basic for detecting some sort of intrusion Adding ability to set off alarms and trigger locks would require a few additions
FUTURE WORK Simple detection system This can be used as a base of an actual system to control locks and alarms
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Vigs for core components of project
