Enviro-Pig The enviropig is an actual pig that is genetically engineered who process and digest phosphorous. Phosphorous is a huge algae “bloomer”, that takes away the oxygen supply creating aquatic dead zones. But, the fact that enviropig genetics could possibly be sold in stores soon, because the enviropig’s outcome is actually a pollutant. Too much of it is a negative outcome for the nature around it.

Ethanol (Biofuel) Wine and beer made brewed (or fermented), and all of its sugar and extracts are removed. This causes it to be undrinkable and can’t be consumed by humans, animals, etc. or else they may be negatively affected. The fermented wine and beer is Ethanol. Its purpose is to be used as or be mixed with gasoline. A benefit of biofuel is that it makes gasoline less harmful. A negative thing about ethanol is that it can be used in mostly newer cars, but if the car is older it may not work correctly, or may not run.

Biodiesel (Biofuel) Biodiesel is the separation from glycerin and vegetable oil/ fat. A benefit of biodiesel is that it is less harmful to the environment and has lower emissions compared to petroleum diesel, and it is also biodegradable. Biodiesel is also used as a substitute for ‘regular’ more harmful gasoline. A disadvantage of biodiesel its smell, and how expensive it is.

Composting Composting is the process of organic matter naturally breaking down into soil. Its purpose is to serve as less harmful substitutes of other products. Something less beneficial about composting is that it only works in certain weather. A benefit of composting is its a good way to recycle.

Questions What is biodiesel made from? What is a enviro-pig? Where is biofuel made? What is composting
