WECC Standards Activities WECC-0101 – Generator Validation Policy Conversion –Proposal to lower the applicable facility thresholds in the Western Interconnection for generator testing and validation identified in the recently approved NERC MOD standards. –Proposal to modify the periodicity of validation. –Would become a Regional Variance to the NERC Standards –Closer to current WECC Policy 4 W ESTERN E LECTRICITY C OORDINATING C OUNCIL

WECC Standards Activities WECC-0107 – PSS Design and Performance –RPIC assignment to review document appropriate categorization –Control Work Group identified several PSS documents to consider for inclusion in standards –Drafting Team proposing changes to VAR-501- WECC-2 that would maintain the requirement to have PSS in service and add tuning and installation requirements 5 W ESTERN E LECTRICITY C OORDINATING C OUNCIL
