Marcus reiber 5/10/13 Career and tech Hour.4

My job is a lawyer. It is a great job to go into because you get to help people. I wan t know how much they make and how long of a day they work? I got interested into this job from like movies of them in them and I thought it was a cool job to go into. I will be researching: hours a ay he work, what kind of degree, how much pay, how to be one and how o be good a it?

Advise and represent clients in courts, before government agencies, or in private legal matters Communicate with their clients and others Conduct research and analysis of legal problems Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses Present facts in writing or verbally to their clients or others and argue on their behalf

Lawyers held about 728,200 jobs in Lawyers work mostly in offices. However, some travel to attend meetings with clients at various locations, such as homes, hospitals, or prisons. The following industries employed the most lawyers in 2010: Legal services 51% Government 18 Finance and insurance 3 Management of companies and enterprises 2 It’s a mental job. The work long hours, work full time. Some of them have private practice if they work or big law firms.

After graduation, lawyers must keep informed about legal developments that affect their practices. In 2011, 45 states required lawyers to participate in continuing legal education either every year or every 3 years. Becoming a lawyer usually takes 7 years of full-time study after high school—4 years of undergraduate study followed by 3 years of law school Newly hired attorneys usually start as associates and work with more experienced lawyers or judges. After several years, some lawyers may be admitted to partnership and become partial owners of the firm they work for. Some lawyers go into practice for themselves or move to the legal department of a large corporation. I plane on going to maybe michigan if I has a good section for it. I will have to take a couple ap classes. Doctoral or professional degree.

Employment of lawyers is expected to grow by 10 percent from 2010 to 2020, about as fast as the average for all occupations.. Demand for legal work will continue as individuals, businesses, and all levels of government will need legal services in many areas. Percent change in employment, projected Total, All Occupations 14% Legal Occupations 11% Lawyers 10% Competition should continue to be strong because more students are graduating from law school each year than there are jobs available

$112,760 per year $54.21 per hour Lawyers $112,760 Legal Occupations $74,580 Total, All Occupations $33,840 The lowest 10 percent earned less than $54,130, and the top 10 percent earned more than $166,400.

Judges, Mediators, and Hearing Officers this is my bac up career. For most jobs as a local, state, or federal judge, a law degree is necessary. Getting a law degree usually takes 7 years of full-time study after high school— 4 years of undergraduate study, followed by 3 years of law school. Law degree programs include courses such as constitutional law, contracts, property law, civil procedure, and legal writing. Research legal issues Read and evaluate information from documents such as motions, claim applications, or records Preside over hearings and listen to or read arguments by opposing parties Determine if the information presented supports the charge, claim, or dispute Decide if the procedure is being conducted according to the rules and law I chose this because it makes good money and it is kinda close to a lawyer.

I really like this job I think I would be good at it because I like o fight for what's right. On this job I look forward o the most is winning cases and making those people happy. One thing I don't look forward to is the long cases that will I representing. That yu can get a lot o money by being a lawyer but it takes a lot of school to be one. overall I just love the job.
