Border States in the Civil War Delaware, Kentucky, Missouri, West Virginia, Maryland liked slavery but didn’t want to become a separate nation.
The Union states in the Civil War The Union states were: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, Oregon, and California.
The Confederate States In the Civil War The Confederate states were: Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Texas.
What alliances were formed in the Civil War? The Confederacy need land from five Indian nations that had a vast supply of beef, grain, horses, lead and salt. The Cherokee split on deciding if they should join the confederacy or not. The other 4 nations willingly signed treaties on the condition that the annuities and protection would be forthcoming.

What were the main weapons used during the Civil War? Civil War Muskets- used by both sides. Civil War Rifles-Like the Sharps Rifle, the Spencer Rifle, and the Henry Rifle. There were also pistols used. Civil War Cannons- only caused 5% of casualties on both sides. Swords

How does the Civil War affect America’s future? It made slavery illegal and if we didn’t have the war we might still have slavery. The south would have become the Confederate States of America and not the United States of America. Made friends and families go against each other.
How many people joined and died? Over 3 million people fought in the war. There were 620,000 deaths in the Civil War. That was 2% of the population. 300 women disguised themselves as men and fought. 2,000 boys under 14 fought, hundreds under 13. there were 200,000 boys no older than 16 that fought in the war.
How does the civil war end? The Civil War ended with a surrender of the Confederacy. Many had been injured and even more died. The southern landscape was devastated.
