What is a Check? A check is a draft that allows funds to be drawn from an account holder's personal checking account at the account holder's bank.checking account The bank can identify the check by the numbers at the bottom of the check know as routing numbers. Routing Numbers

Check Writing Tips Always use Black or Blue Pen to write a check. Be sure not to leave any blank areas on your check. The safest method is to draw a line though any open spaces. Make sure the amount box (where the amount of the check written in numbers) and the amount line (the amount of the check written in words) match.

What is a Deposit Slip? A deposit slip is simply a small form that a bank uses to record a deposit transaction. It includes identification information about the person or organization making the deposit; information about the account the deposit is going into; such as the amount of cash and a list of checks included.
