Sample Lesson Plan- Differentiation

Differentiation This assignment will give the students a chance to learn more about alcohol on their own terms. After learning about alcohol and the effects it has on the body this assignment will give the students an opportunity to show what they know. Each student will have to pick three assignments from the board to complete that interest them. This assignment gives the students options to what they want to complete for class. This differentiates the content and the product. Each block has a different aspect of the alcohol unit. The product is produced by choosing what interests them from the board to complete. Find 2 songs about alcohol. 1 that is positive 1 that is negative Then write a short summary of the message portrayed Create a chart showing different BAC levels and the effects it has on a person Write a letter to someone who you believe has a drinking problem. Tell them how you feel about them drinking and how it affects other people. Explain to them how they are harming themselves Write an opinion paper on underage drinking. Must be 3 pages Create a cause and effect picture on drinking Make an advertisement on alcohol. Make sure to use a source that helps people stop Write a poem on addictionAct out a monolog on drinking and show the affects it has on friends and family Create a diagram that shows the different amounts of alcohol for different types of drinks. This should show the differences between one cup in a variety of ways. Tic-Tac-Toe
