JOURNALISM JAN 20&22, 2015 DO NOW: YOU NEED A PENCIL & PAPER…PICK THREE WORDS TO DESCRIBE YOUR WEEKEND. UNSCRAMBLE THE LETTERS IN THE THREE WORDS SO THEY ARE HARD TO READ. SWAP PAPERS WITH YOUR PARTNER AND LET THEM TRY TO UNSCRAMBLE THEM.

HIGH / LOW Choose one word from your three and use it to describe your high and low of your three day weekend.

INDEPENDENT 1.Define “Explicit” and “Implicit” and add the definitions to your notes app in your ipad. 2.Give me one example of something explicit and implicit that shows me you understand the meanings.

COMIC STRIPS You will create a comic strip with a total of 8 boxes. The strip will consist of a comic created by you that tells a story using implicit and explicit differentiation. Rubric To get a 4: You must communicate the use of explicit and implicit differentiation clearly and thoroughly throughout your 8 box comic strip as well as making the story comprehensible and well understood by the reader. To get a 3: The comic strip is understood by the reader with little confusion and communicated the use of implicit and explicit differentiation rather well.

HOMEWORK -Finish your comic strips… add color and LIFE to them!!! -Be ready to present your strip tomorrow in a presentation of about 2 minutes
