Real Name Angelo Giuseppe Roncalli. He called the 2nd Vatican Council.

Facts 3rd of 13 surviving children born of a family of farmers. Born on November 1881 near Bergamo, Italy Became pope in 1958 at age 76. He was happy to die poor. Pope John died in June 1963.
