What is the target customer for 3D Paving? Target: Road Contractor or Specialist Paving Contractor for roads, airports, and commercial surfaces

What do we solve for these target customers? Customer Issue: Lay material where there is no reference surface Large surfaces and laying base Benefit 3D Paving: Eliminate the stringlines! The only reason customer a Chicago customer used 3D paving was to eliminate the stringlines. Customer was not doing variable depth paving. He was laying a 6”, a 4” and a 2” layer at an airport..

What do we solve for these target customers? Customer Issue: Take out long longitudinal roadwaves and longitudinal high and low spots E.g. Road renewal Benefit 3D Paving: Increases road smoothness, using less asphalt and time than with traditional 2D methods No stakes One customer about his paving airport project: “On airport jobs: want you to hit grade. On highways hitting grade not as critical. The last airport job was mill and fill – milling a fixed thickness and paving a variable thickness to get to grade. However mostly the spec is to mill to the original concrete surface which has a variable grade. For the mill 3D cannot be used because normally you just mill down to the original concrete surface. One guy would check that the mill cuts just at concrete level and you will be adjusting the ski all the time. If you hit concrete, you can feel it.”
