CHRISTMAS IN BULGARIA

The 1st of January – New Year New Year is celebrated the same way as all over the world.

The 3rd of March – Independence Day It is a celebration of the liberation of Bulgaria from the Turks in 1878.

The 1st of May – Labour day On this day, people don’t work.

The 24th of May - Day of Slavic Literature and Culture On that day the fold is a tribute Cyril and Methodius. They were the creators of the Slavic alphabet and translators of liturgical texts.

The 22nd of September – Independance Day This feast commemorates independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1908.
