Identify the level where it could be taught.  Analyze why this topic is important in the elementary/middle content area.  Explain how you would impart your knowledge to elementary or middle school students. Standard Four Reflection  Provide a summary of your lesson.  Discuss how this teaching experience allowed you to use of a variety of instructional strategies, including the use of technology* and other materials.  Explain how you encouraged students’ development of critical thinking, problem solving, and performance skills. STAPLE the reflection on the top of your ES 203 lesson plan. Remove all names and lesson reflection from the lesson plan and the standard four reflection (including your name, any student’s names, name of school, cooperating teacher’s name, and any other identifying information). * The use of technology is recommended but not required at this stage. Organizing Application Materials A LETTER SIZE, TOP TAB, MANILA FILE FOLDER – NOT MANILA ENVELOPE - With your name legibly printed on the top tab (Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial). Folder should contain:  One Application Cover Form from Appendix B of the MCEA handbook  One “My Planner” print-out from CampS Begin with current semester Do not include past semesters List courses through to final semester, including student teaching semester  One Degree Audit PDF printed no more than one week prior to application  One copy of test scores printed from CampS  Two sets of the four reflective narratives including two copies of your lesson plan where required. Each complete set of narratives should be PAPER CLIPPED TOGETHER

Application Deadline Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 12:00 noon LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED EDUCATION STUDIES OFFICE CENTENNIAL HALL 3215 Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:45 am – 4:30 pm Application materials left at any other location will be considered as NOT SUBMITTED. Applicants must complete the sign-in sheet and have their submission initialed by a staff member to complete the submission process. Admission decisions will be ed approximately three weeks after the application deadline. Please do not contact our office asking when notifications will be sent.
