Summer Upgrades Nortel 8600’s from to Fortinet 3.0 Build 480 to 660 Aruba Wireless Upgrades Started Upgrades on July 7 th and finish by July 31

Widener Summer Activity On July 25 th, on the Widener LAN we changed our multicast routing protocol from DVMRP to PIM, with Nortel’s help. Outages occurred on Aug 1 st at 5:03 am, Aug 20 th at 10:15 am, Aug 21 st at 1:30 pm and Sept 2 nd at 3:35 pm. Nortel support engaged at all times. On Aug 21 st - PIM was removed and DVMRP was restored Sept 2 nd - Revealed code issue with Split MLT’s (not PIM) Sept 16 th – Moved Internet Router Gig connections off of ACN1 to reduce impact of future outages ( DNS still dependent) Sept 24 th - Root cause discovered combo of Split MLT’s and Hot/Standby CPU’s – Nortel CR Q fixed in available in Nov

In-Line Content Filter Update Bluecoat 800 Tested in Lab Upgrade from to to support Tagging Adding SSL Cert to content filter HTTPS traffic Purchased 3 ea SSL Modules Created HTTPS Layers Added sites to Bypass New 8100 Bluecoat Capital was approved, new box being shipped… DCIU Termination Letter Received - New box stopped shipment In-Line Caching on hold, best case Winter break with existing hardware

PAIU Update Currently the DCIU and Widener are discussing known options New options may be discovered No decisions have been made Review 5 Options

WINS Contract Update Peter Shoudy is working with the DCIU to come up with a mutually agreeable approach that will allow the contract to be renewed again when the current renewal expires June 30, 2009
