Networking innovation actors by sectors → to bridge the interests of enterprises and financial investors → to shape sectoral networks that bring together innovation finance experts, academia, business associations, industry federations and chambers of commerce → to analyse specific problems related to innovation financing (business plan drafting, IP strategies, funding sources, etc.) → to develop tools and guidelines and identify organisations for specific innovative investments ICT Biotechnology and health care Medical devices Energy technology Textiles and clothing Automotive Food and nutrition Media and Communication OBJECTIVES INDICATIVE LIST OF SECTORS

4 Networking innovation actors by sectors ① → Identify and analyse sector specificities in relation to innovation financing ② → Develop and validate tools and guidance materials ③ → Mobilise investors, incubators and investing enterprises in the sector to understand specific needs of the sector ④ → Organise roundtables to discuss relevant issues and validate tools ⑤ → Establish European map linking needs of sectors and funding sources ⑥ → Prepare policy recommendations ⑦ → Disseminate results and liaise with PAXIS and Gate2Growth projects TASKS

5 Networking innovation actors by sectors ①→ In-depth experience in the area of innovation financing and established links to finance professionals ②→ Academics providing theoretical and methodological insides ③→ Other stakeholders representing the sector and contributing with knowledge about needs of the companies in this specific sector TARGETED PROPOSERS / CONSORTIUM The winning proposal will be required to contribute to the coordination work entrusted to an external contractor who will be responsible for the collection, exploitation and dissemination of the results of the three actions under the call +

Networking innovation actors by sectors Maximum indicative budget: EUR 8 million for 36 months / appr. 1 Mio per project Projects per sector: Possible merger of projects in the same sector can be proposed Community financial contribution: up to 100% of eligible costs Deadline for submission: 27 January 2005 FINANCIAL INFORMATION
