Presentation transcript:

Objectives Aim (from opening)Status (my view) Bring together theorists and experimentalists to study physics behind boosted signatures, how to detect them and which tools to use Accomplished Better understanding of what measurements need to be made this year and their efficient feedback to theorists Tevatron measurements coming in! Towards LHC, a lot of good ideas exchanged, discussion of measurements/observables, but no concrete recipe for immediate follow-up made. Need a bit “more” and “publicly available” LHC data. Common tools/standards to increase efficiency in comparing various algorithms in the market to better evaluate their effectiveness Initiated and aimed to be part of write- up (Hadronic WG). Better understanding of how well experiments can utilize and calibrate such tools given their specific detectors Work is progressing and getting there.

Summary of workshop Thanks to all speakers: latest-greatest from every field, some fresh- from-oven results in time for Boost2010. Thanks to WG Conveners: –Leptonic: Jay Wacker (th), Chris Hill (exp) –Hadronic: Michael Spannowsky (th), Marcel Vos (exp) Many thanks for tutorials –Gavin Salam: fastjet, see agenda –Chris Vermilion: spartyjet, see agenda Proceedings: Initiated! –Check by WG conveners if you want to sign up for tasks (see Wiki for outlines) –Overall organisation by Muge –Deadline: 15 th august. –Length: pages (Had WG) pages (Lep WG) (JHeP, latex) –Wiki and SVN (both write-up and code) at Oxford: –Had WG: Data samples at Seattle Discussing where Boost2011 and Boost2012 will be
