Her style is unique because she uses small everyday incidents to show great depth of suffering or the complexity of relationships. Her stories are unique because they draw the reader in to consider the importance of small every day incidents, such as the trip to the beach in “At The Bay” (1922). Katherine Mansfield published several short story collections, including In a German Pension (1911), Bliss (1920), and The Dove’s Nest (1923).
