Famous Couples Research Project Visual Representation

You have done… You have been assigned a famous couple, visited the Media Center Library Guide to find your sources, researched, and composed an annotated bibliography.

Now what? Now, your task is to create a visual representation that presents a brief history of your famous couple.

Tell me more about this visual You may choose among the approved forms of visuals listed PowerPoint Prezi poster board storybook (made from paper, poster, cardstock, etc.). You may request approval for a mode that is not listed, but you must use effort and creativity when creating your product

But, I am NOT creative You will need to add some creativity in the form of pictures/images (drawn on your own or printed from the internet) and/or color. Will points be taken off if I don’t do this? YES! Examples????

What about that writing part? Your visual representation must include three typed paragraphs. If you choose to complete a non-electronic visual, you will simply print the paragraphs, cut, and paste. *** Your paragraphs must be typed. You will have until 3/13/15 to complete this project. Make arrangements to work around any technology issues you may have or come see me (before school, lunch – 4 th period in my room or Media Center, after school, Ms. Diederich’s room).

Page 1 Title page/portion Your name and Famous Couple.

Page 2 Short biography on wife (Biographical information, birth, family, education, career, past loves, etc) *include a quote sandwich and in-text citation

Page 3 Short biography on husband (Biographical information, birth, family, education, career, past loves, etc) *include a quote sandwich and in-text citation

Pages 4-5 (spread) Information on the couple together - When and how did the couple meet? How long were they together or how long have they been together? Do they have any children? Why is your couple so memorable? *include a quote sandwich in this paragraph and in-text citation

You’re telling me I have to write THREE MORE PARAGRAPHS?! NOPE! Work smarter, not harder.

Use your annotated bibliography "Abigail Smith Adams." White House. N.p., n.d. Web. 13 Jan In the article, "Abigail Smith Adams", the author gave us background information about Abigail. She was born in 1744 in Weymouth, Massachusetts. Abigail did not attend school, but she was extremely intelligent. While John was away, Abigail would write letters to him. The author said about Abigail, "she is remembered for the many letters of advice she exchanged with her husband during the Continental Congress." Abigail gave John a lot of advice on how to change things for the better. Because of the good information about Abigail and John's relationship, this will be added to the research project.

What if my website does not have an author? 1. This stuff didn’t fit anywhere else… We will have ONE lab day to give you time to write your 3 paragraphs. I will do a check-in for these 3 paragraphs before the final due date – this will count as a grade. Again, work smarter and not harder – make sure you can access your annotated bib.

This stuff didn’t fit anywhere else… We will have one in-class day where I will give you time to work on your Visual Representation in-class. I will warn you of this day next week.
