 Cardiff City was founded in 1899, originally named Riverside A. F. C.  They are the only club outside of England to have won the FA Cup.  Their home ground is called the Cardiff City Stadium and is in the Leckwith area of the City.  It was built in in 2009 and holds up to 28,050 fans.  In 2013 the club changed its colours from blue to red after being bought by new owners. This mad a lot of fans unhappy.

 Cardiff’s highest scoring record in one season was achieved in the 1933/34 season when they were playing in division 3.  They scored a record number of goals totalling 105 goals.

 In the 1932 season, Cardiff were playing against Hull FC.  The match was record breaking for the amount of extra time the referee played.  In total the match was extended by 36 minutes.

He gets paid £9.5 million a year.  Some of the Cardiff players don’t get paid a salary because they are too young, or, because they are still training.
