 London was founded more than two thousand years ago.  Traditionally it is divided into several parts: the City, the West End and the East End.  London is situated on the river Thames.

 London is one of the most famous capital cities of the world and every year it attracts crowds of visitors from home and abroad.  They come to explore its historical buildings, to see its museums and galleries, its streets and parks and its people.

 St. Paul’s Cathedral was built in the 17 th century by Christopher Wren

 The Tower of London was built in the 11 th century.  It was used as a fortress, a palace and a prison. Now it’s a museum.  The city is very old and beautiful.  The West End is the part where rich people live.  It is the most beautiful part of London.

 There one can see a famous Clock Tower Big Ben, the symbol of London.  Big Ben is really the bell, which strikes every quarter of an hour.

 There are many other places of interest in London: Trafalgar Square, Regent’s Park, Westminster Abbey and, of course, the British Museum.  Another place, which can strike you most, is Buckingham Palace.  One of them is the Houses of Parliament, the seat of the British Government.

 I can’t describe all the places of interest.  The best way to know London is to visit it.
